There will be a lot of activities happening very quickly. The Catholic 'Stangs, along with our building partner #LuminStangs will be hosting our annual ice cream social on Move-In Day along with our traditional first week of classes Grill Out! Mark your calendars! Ice cream, 1919 Root Beer, and a variety of toppings, will be available on Thursday, August 22, 2019, from 2p-4p. Tuesday, August 27th, hamburgers, hot dogs and brats will be on the grill. These will be served with baked beans, chips, desserts and beverages. There is no charge for either event, so stop on over to the Campus Religious Center (1418 Birch St., right across the street from Central Field). Grab a bite to eat and meet some of the members of your campus community.
In addition to the activities co-sponsored with the #LuminStangs, Catholic Campus Ministries will be hosting a special "Welcome to Campus" Mass at 11:30am on Sunday, August 25th. Sunday Mass is typically at 6pm on Sunday evenings, but because of on-campus activities, move-in weekend, we offer a special Mass a little earlier in the day. After Mass, lunch will be provided for all students and any families who attend. Also, a Catholic 'Stangs t-shirt will be available for all SMSU students. We look forward to seeing you soon!
