Our Lenten Journey

Today, we begin our Lenten season with an Ash Wednesday Mass at the CRC at 8:30p.  As a Campus Community, we will again journey through Lent together.  Like last year, we will have our path to the cross posted on the wall of the gathering space, with footprints to represent our steps on the journey.  We invite all students and supporters to take a footprint, write on the back what they did on their Lenten journey that day, and add it to the footprints already on the journey.  We ask for no names to be recorded, only the prayers, fasting and almsgiving done for the Lord that day.  At the end of Lent, we will tabulate what we, as community, have offered to the Lord during our journey with Him.

We will also have our "Tie Blankets for Birthright" service project available in the gathering space.  Our goal is 20 tie blankets to be presented to the Marshall Birthright office by the end of the season.  Materials are supplied.  We just need people willing to prep and tie blankets.  Feel free to come to Mass a little early, or stay a little after, to work on a blanket.  If you don't have time to finish, that is okay!  Someone else might not have time to start.  Jump in where it is and help us to reach our goal.
