During the season of Lent, our students committed to making 40 tie blankets, of various sizes, to donate to our local chapter of Birthright. We had phenomenal support from our parish in terms of donations of both material and monetary donations to purchase materials for blanket making. Our students gave of themselves, over 50 hours, in the creation of the blankets. The people who will be receiving the blankets were lifted up in prayer during the entire season of Lent.
Last night, we were able to make the presentation of the blankets to Bobbi V., who came on behalf of Birthright. We are grateful for this long-term relationship we have that allows us a concrete opportunity to focus outside of ourselves, and on the good of our neighbors, during the season of preparing to walk with Christ through His Passion, death and resurrection.
