Through the generous funding of the sponsors of Students for Life of America, the Church of the Holy Redeemer and the Catholic Stangs were able to have a screening of the movie "Unplanned" at the Campus Religious Center on Saturday, April 15. This event was promoted across campus. We had five of our regular students as well as two additional students attend our event.
While we don't have a Students for Life of America chapter at SMSU, the Catholic Stangs are supportive of and involved in pro-life activities. In the past, we have had students attend Pro-Life events at the Minnesota Capitol as well as Washington D.C. Each year, our Lenten service project is geared toward preparing fleece tie-blankets for donation to our local Birthright chapter. We were grateful for the generosity of the sponsors who allowed us the opportunity to view this movie as well as the students who gave up a part of their Saturday evening to explore why being Pro-Life is such an important part of who we are as Catholics.
