Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis

We opted to start the New Year off, on the right foot, receiving the Eucharist and seeking Mary's mantle of protection as we go forward into our week at SEEK24.  Our first stop of the day was at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis.

We arrived a little early for Mass, so we were able to go to the Mosiac Museum in the basement.  There was a lot of information about the origins of the Cathedral Basilica including the history of its construction as well as information about the history of the Bisops.

We were able to spend the next three hours on a spiritual pilgrimage within our pilgrimage.  We participated in the Mass and prayed morning prayer together.  Next, people had the option to make their holy hour or spend time exploring all the beauty of the Church.  Woody, one of the seminarians, explained about the hats the cardinals wore that were suspended from the ceiling.  We prayed the rosary as community, and then concluded with David sharing how he heard his call to seminary.

If you are ever in St. Louis, a stop at the Cathedral Basilica should be at the top of your list of things to do!
